Rehear

Getting started with Rehear: add audio and listen again

Choose one course recording or a show you often listen to. Add it to Rehear, listen, and return to a part that caught your attention. These five steps will get you started.

  1. Choose one audio source

Tap + in the library. Choose Local Files for audio or ZIPs saved in the iPhone Files app, Music Library for Music tracks, or Podcast for a show.

  2. Open it and listen for a little while

Open the course or episode you added and start playback. Get a feel for the audio first. If you cannot find its location in Files, see opening course audio on iPhone.

  3. Return to a passage you could not hear clearly

When you want to hear something again, try going back by phrase. If the phrase is too broad or phrase boundaries are unavailable, set the listening section with A-B repeat.

  4. Check unfamiliar words in the text afterwards

If several listens do not help, open the transcript and find the relevant line. You can still play and replay audio when transcripts are unavailable for your environment or recording.

  5. Keep only the parts you want to revisit tomorrow

Bookmark a passage you could not understand today if you want to hear it tomorrow. You do not need to save everything you already understood.

For help with the controls, see Support. Read the privacy policy for how imported audio and transcripts are handled.
